777 Days - And We're Still Praying

On August 30, 2026, a group of believers at Restoration Church in Roswell, Georgia, celebrated an extraordinary milestone: 777 consecutive days of prayer.

More than two years ago, our pastor, Chuck Ramsey, felt the Lord leading us to gather seven days a week to pray for our nation, church, families, and community. What began as a commitment for a number of weeks became a continuing rhythm of prayer. By God's grace, the fire is still burning.

Pastor Ramsey has often said that “prayer is the engine of the church.” For 777 consecutive days, that engine has kept running—and we intend to “keep on praying.”

Why 777?

Throughout Scripture, the number seven is associated with completion, fullness, covenant, and the fulfillment of God's purposes, beginning with Creation when God completed His work and rested on the seventh day.

For us, 777 is not a lucky or magical number. It is a powerful reminder of God's faithfulness and our call to remain faithful in prayer:

“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Scripture contains some remarkable patterns of seven.

In Genesis 5:31, Lamech, the father of Noah, lived 777 years. His death came as the biblical account moved toward Noah, the Flood, and God's covenant—a transition from one era into another.

An even more striking pattern appears at Jericho. In Joshua 6, God instructed Israel to march with seven priests carrying seven trumpets, and on the seventh day to circle the city seven times. Then the walls fell.

Jericho gives us a powerful picture of persistent faith and obedience: Israel kept walking before the walls came down.

Prayer can be like that.

For 777 days, we have continued to pray—sometimes seeing answers and sometimes simply trusting God and continuing to circle the walls.

So 777 is not a finish line. It is a marker along the way—a moment to recognize what God has already done while continuing to seek Him for what comes next.
